The most famous percussion bands of Brazil are the Batucadas (or bateria when they accompany a song) ; these orchestras meet for example at the time of the Carnival of Rio and are made up on average of... 300 musicians (!).
The other type of most current music groups (especially in the North-East of Brazil) accompany the Capoeira, martial art disguised as a dance well-known in Europe for a few years.
